No one brought in the glamour quotient last night at a truly surreal extravaganza at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai than the Ambani family themselves. Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, and Anant Ambani were present at the grand finale of the inaugural mega-musical “Rajadhiraaj: Love, Life, Leela,” showcasing the divine journey of Lord Krishna.
She had draped herself in a stunning red colour Patola silk sari that spoke of grace and tradition. The sari by designer Nirmal Salvi was an extraordinary work of artisans with geometrical patterns, and at top of it, there was lavish Radha Krishna-designed gold embroidery. Nita draped the sari in conventional Gujarati style-the pallu falling gracelessly across the shoulder, and pleated up front to prominently show the amazing patterns.
She wore a silk blouse in the same bright colour as her sari, with a scoop neckline, half-length sleeves, and borders of gold. The beauty of the blouse was further extended to the backside of the blouse with shimmering gold threads doing embroidery in Radha-Krishna motifs. Nita emphasized her ethnic look with a set of fine polki jewellery-a statement necklace, kadhas, ring, and earrings-all set in gold and diamonds. The outfit was rounded off with gold platform heels and an embroidered potli bag, lending a touch of sophistication to the ensemble.
On the makeup front, Nita Ambani had gone for a classic yet bold look with streaked wing eyeliner, kohled eyes, darkened eyebrows, and lips in mauve shade. Her cheeks were light-rouged while her lashes were a stark celebration of mascara. A bright red bindi and a centre-parted bun adorned with dainty daisy hair accessories rounded up her look with utmost perfection.
Of course, Anant Ambani was not absent in that grand finale. He wore a dark blue-coloured traditional attire: a silk full-sleeved short kurta with a pair of pants in the same color. The kurta was finished with a glittering brocade jacket over it, highlighted with diamond-studded buttons, adding opulence to his choice. And for accessories, Anant chose a jarring Krishna brooch in glittering diamonds and gold-the signature accessory and one showing his taste for sophistication.
The night also turned out to be one of the memorable occasions in the Mumbai cultural calendar because it had the entire Ambani family present in the inaugural musical event of the NMACC.
